S. A. Ramadass (also spelled as S. A. Ramdas)(Kannada:ಎಸ್. ಎ. ರಾಮದಾಸ್) is a current Member of the Legislative Assembly (India) of Krishnaraja constituency in Mysore, Karnataka. [2] and he is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party.
In 2008 Karnataka assembly elections, he contested against Congress leader M. K. Somashekar, a former MLA from Krishnaraja constituency of a Mysore district and won by a margin of 20000 votes. He had been elected from this constituency, 2 times earlier in 1994 and 1999 but had lost to M.K.Somashekar in 2004. [3]
In September 2008, he was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa.[4]
Ramadass is also a current president of his voluntary organisation Aasare.[5]
Ramdass is a former medical education minister of karnataka, having to step down after B.S. Yeddyurappa tendered his resignation.
